SEO Specialist

We’re excited to announce that we are looking for an SEO Specialist to join our team here at Ellis Digital.

We’re after someone with proven experience delivering SEO success – from technical audits through to content strategy and link building. You’ll be comfortable working independently, confident explaining your recommendations to clients, and ready to take ownership of SEO performance across a range of industries.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 1 years SEO experience (agency or in-house).

• Proven track record of improving organic visibility and traffic.

• Deep knowledge of technical SEO (site audits, crawl issues, indexing, site speed, schema, Core Web Vitals).

• Skilled in keyword research, content optimisation and competitor analysis.

• Strong understanding of link-building strategies and off-page SEO.

• Experienced in using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs

• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into clear actions and results.

• Strong communicator, confident presenting to both clients and colleagues.

• Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.

• Keeps up to date with Google algorithm changes and industry best practice.

What you will be doing

• Owning the SEO strategy and performance for a portfolio of clients.

• Conducting detailed technical SEO audits and implementing recommendations.

• Delivering keyword research and content strategies to improve rankings and conversions.

• Managing link acquisition campaigns and monitoring backlink profiles.

• Tracking, reporting and analysing performance to demonstrate ROI.

• Collaborating with our design, development and content teams to deliver SEO best practice.

• Supporting new website launches with technical SEO input.

• Helping to develop and strengthen the SEO offering at Ellis Digital.

About the company

We are a small digital marketing and creative agency based just outside of Guildford, Surrey in a 400-year-old barn conversion. Since we began in 2015, we have continued to grow our client base and are now looking to expand our team further.
