We are currently recruiting for experienced Business Development Executive's who will support the growth of the firm across all relevant Business Development activities, working with the BD Managers to identify opportunities, enhance client relationships, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the firm’s profile within the insurance market.

As an experienced Business Development Executive you will help coordinate BD initiatives, produce high ‑ quality supporting materials, manage administrative elements of client development, and contribute to the smooth running of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their Business Development career who has gained experience in a law firm environment and is looking to develop specialist expertise within the insurance claims sector.

What You’ll be doing: As a Business Development Executive, you will:

1. Support to BD Managers

Assist BD Managers with planning and delivering business development plans and growth initiatives.

Prepare meeting packs, client background notes, agendas, and follow ‑ up actions.

Help maintain and update key client documentation, including profiles, service descriptions, and value propositions and capability documents/proposals.

2. Pitch, Tender & Proposal Support

Coordinate the administrative aspects of tenders, RFIs, and panel submissions.

Draft basic sections of proposals (e.g., team CVs, firm overviews, boilerplate content).

Gather evidence, MI, case studies, and service examples from fee ‑ earners.

Ensure documents are formatted, branded, and submitted on time.

3. CRM & Data Management

Update pipelines, activity logs, and internal dashboards for BD Managers.

Track incoming opportunities and support reporting to senior stakeholders.

4. Marketing, Events & Campaigns

Coordinate logistics for seminars, webinars, client events, and insurance industry conferences.

Liaise with Marketing to support the delivery of targeted email campaigns, newsletters, and client alerts.

Assist with creating basic content drafts or collating contributions from fee ‑ earners.

5. Market & Client Research

Prepare desk ‑ research on insurer clients, competitors, and developments in the insurance claims landscape.

Monitor relevant news, legal updates, and industry trends to support BD Managers’ planning.

6. Internal Coordination

Work with legal teams, Operations, and Marketing to ensure BD tasks are delivered efficiently.

Help maintain updated credentials, case studies, and practice ‑ level BD materials.

Assist with collating client feedback and contributing insight for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need?

Essential

At least 12 months’ experience working in a law firm, ideally exposure to insurance claims, litigation, or commercial BD/marketing.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent written communication and document ‑ production skills.

Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

A proactive, “hands ‑ on” approach with a service ‑ oriented mindset.

Desirable

Experience supporting tenders, bids, or panel reviews.

Understanding of the insurance claims sector and insurer client expectations.

Basic familiarity with MI, performance reporting, or client feedback processes.

Experience supporting across client events.
