Community Facilities Team Leader

Reporting to our Community Facilities Manager, this is 1 of 2 posts based at Newton Abbot Hospital , supporting the day-to-day management of 32 staff on site, plus 2 staff in Teignmouth Hospital, co-ordinating all facilities services on a daily basis and are key posts

which are vital to supporting patient flow, maintaining our Trusts Cleaning and

Infection Control Policies and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients,

staff and visitors.

• Co-ordinate and monitor of the facilities services within the community

hospitals, health and wellbeing centres and other buildings

• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels within our organisation, with

patients and external suppliers

• Participate in meetings as required e.g. weekly team meetings, monthly team

meetings and weekly operational management team briefings as required

• Assist the Workplace Division by providing an effective cascade of information

to all Facilities Services staff

• Maintain good handover processes to supervisor colleagues as part of the

working rota

• Support the implementation of our Trust’s complaints policy, overseeing

complaints and compliments relating to the service and participating in

investigations as required

• Respond positively to external inspections, such as unannounced CQC or

Environmental Health attendance, recognising when to escalate issues to line

managers
