The Outdoors Group is looking for a Social Media & Community Engagement Officer to lead our social media presence and help strengthen relationships with parents, schools, local authorities, employees, partners and the communities we serve.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Social Media & Community Engagement Officer, you'll take ownership of our social media strategy and create engaging content that grows our audiences, strengthens our reputation and builds meaningful relationships with our communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing social media channels across multiple brands
- Planning and delivering engaging social media campaigns
- Creating graphics, reels, short-form videos, photography and other digital content
- Developing and managing content calendars
- Writing compelling copy tailored to different audiences and platforms
- Managing paid social media advertising campaigns
- Growing online communities and encouraging meaningful engagement
- Monitoring comments, messages and audience interactions
- Attending schools, Forest School settings, open days and events to capture live content
- Monitoring performance and producing insight-led reports to improve future campaigns
- Working closely with colleagues across the marketing team to deliver integrated campaigns
No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining creativity, strategy and community engagement.
About You
You'll be an enthusiastic social media professional who enjoys creating engaging content, building communities and using data to improve performance.
We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Managing multiple social media platforms and audiences
- Developing and delivering social media strategies
- Running paid social media campaigns
- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative software
- Creating short-form video, photography and social-first content
- Copywriting for a variety of audiences
- Social media analytics and performance reporting
- Community engagement and stakeholder communications
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines
It would be an advantage if you have experience with:
- Meta Business Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Photography and videography
- Reputation management or crisis communications
- Education, charity or not-for-profit organisations
