Your experience and skills

Key Accountabilities-

  • Advise and inform the business (e.g. Project, Route, Workplace Management, Bureau Team, STE) on utilities processes in accordance with company procedures to monitor supplies effectively and minimise utilities costs and carbon.
  • Maintain accurate asset knowledge in the utilities database to keep the wider businesses informed.
  • Investigate billing and supply issues and advise on solution to maintain continuity of supply for operation of the network and minimise costs.
  • Establish consumption and negotiate on-charging and off-charging fiscal liabilities for TOCs, FOCs and other third parties so that costs are recovered fairly and risks are minimised.

Essential

  • Ability to complete track safety competence where relevant including:
    • Personal Track Safety (PTS)
    • Individual Working Alone (IWA) and
    • Level C: Access & Egress Traction and/or non-traction locations
  • Educated to HNC/HND or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Good general IT skills
  • Good communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to present information effectively and appropriately
  • Experience of extracting information and reporting from multiple sources, including databases
