The Role
As a Business Support Assistant within the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) Service, you will play a vital role in supporting a dedicated team delivering an evidence-based programme for young first-time parents and their children. Working as part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support that helps ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- This is a full-time permanent post
- You will be based at The Cairnbrook Centre
- Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 16:30 and Friday 08:30 - 15:30
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Family Nurse Partnership team
- Manage telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring a professional and confidential service at all times
- Produce, format and distribute a range of documents, reports, presentations and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy
- Maintain electronic records, databases and information systems, ensuring data is updated accurately and securely
- Support the organisation of meetings, events and training activities, including room bookings, agendas and minute taking
- Assist with procurement processes, stock control and the ordering of supplies and equipment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the service, providing cross-cover and administrative support as required
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Demonstrable experience using a range of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, gained through experience or formal qualification such as ECDL
- Experience working within an administrative, secretarial or office-based role with knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Strong keyboard and data input skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of individuals
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and work independently
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and work within relevant policies and procedures
- A positive, enthusiastic and team-focused approach with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
