Role Overview

As a 360 Technology Contract Recruitment Consultant, you will own the full contract recruitment lifecycle—from business development and client management through to contractor sourcing, delivery, onboarding, and account growth.

This role is dedicated to the technology contract recruitment market across the UK. You will partner with enterprise organisations, public sector bodies, global consultancies, and technology vendors to deliver high-quality contract professionals across large-scale digital transformation programmes.

This is a highly commercial role suited to experienced technology recruiters who thrive in fast-paced contract markets and enjoy building long-term client and contractor relationships.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Build and grow a profitable portfolio of technology contract recruitment clients across the UK.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within enterprise, public sector, and private sector organisations.
  • Generate new contract opportunities through proactive business development.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, procurement teams, programme directors, and technology leaders.
  • Position Halian as a strategic partner for technology contract staffing and workforce solutions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage the full sales cycle.

Technology Contract Recruitment Delivery

  • Manage the complete technology contract recruitment process from requirement qualification through to contractor onboarding.
  • Source, headhunt, and engage high-quality technology contractors across the UK and international markets.
  • Conduct structured candidate interviews and technical qualification.
  • Present high-quality shortlists within agreed delivery timeframes.
  • Build and maintain an active network of immediately available and future technology contractors.
  • Deliver an exceptional contractor experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Contractor Management

  • Build long-term relationships with contractors throughout their assignments.
  • Manage contractor care, extensions, renewals, and redeployment opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding, compliance, and payroll processes.
  • Support clients with workforce planning for upcoming technology projects and transformation initiatives.

Technology Market Specialisation

Develop expertise across key technology contract disciplines including:

Maintain strong knowledge of contractor availability, market rates, competitor activity, and hiring trends across the UK and wider European technology market.

Strategic Market Focus

  • Build a defined client portfolio within enterprise organisations, public sector bodies, system integrators, consultancies, and global technology vendors.
  • Develop targeted account plans across priority UK markets.
  • Stay informed on technology investment, digital transformation programmes, AI adoption, cloud migration, and major project pipelines across the UK market.
  • Become a recognised specialist within your chosen technology market.

Business Development Expectations

  • Execute value-led outreach through phone, LinkedIn, email, networking, and industry events.
  • Share market intelligence including contractor rates, talent availability, technology hiring trends, and workforce insights.
  • Build trusted relationships with technology decision-makers and project stakeholders.
  • Generate repeat business through consistent delivery and account development.

Candidate Network Development

  • Build and maintain a strong community of technology contract professionals.
  • Develop talent pools across niche and in-demand technology skillsets.
  • Headhunt passive technology contractors for specialist assignments.
  • Support contractors with market insights, interview preparation, and career opportunities.
  • Maintain regular engagement with contractors between assignments.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Technology Recruitment Consultant, with a strong focus on contract recruitment.
  • Proven success in 360 recruitment, including business development, client management, candidate sourcing, and successful contract placements.
  • Experience recruiting technology contractors across one or more specialist technology verticals.
  • Strong track record of developing new business and building long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Resilient, ambitious, and motivated to succeed in a target-driven environment.

You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience recruiting technology contractors, a proven ability to win new business, and a strong track record of delivering high-quality contract talent across technology disciplines.

You'll be commercially driven, naturally curious about emerging technologies, and passionate about building long-term relationships with both clients and contractors.
