Junior DevOps Engineer

We're working with a vital government agency responsible for maintaining the official register of companies in the UK, playing a crucial role in the national economy. This organisation is undergoing a significant digital transformation to enhance its services for millions of users.

The Role

• Support the delivery of secure, resilient, and high-performing IT services
• Maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve systems to ensure reliability
• Assist in aligning services with evolving organisational and legislative priorities
• Support live services through proactive monitoring and incident resolution
• Contribute to system upgrades, enhancements, and automation activities
• Collaborate with a diverse engineering community in an agile environment

What You'll Need

• Keen interest in learning and developing technical capabilities
• Experience with cloud-based Unix/Linux environments and SQL
• Awareness or experience of automation and monitoring in a support environment
• Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS or similar)
• Knowledge of database querying and investigation
• Willingness to support experienced team members and troubleshoot technical issues
