GP+ Community Administrator

As a GP+ Community Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and referral coordination support to our GP+ Community Services, helping to ensure patients receive timely access to care and supporting the efficient operation of our Urgent Care services. This is a newly established role with the opportunity to develop and evolve alongside the service.

You will

  • Coordinate and process patient referrals, including using NHS e-Referral systems and managing referral pathways accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage appointments, patient registrations, cancellations and administrative activities across EMIS and SystmOne, ensuring high standards of data quality and service delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for patients, GP practices and healthcare providers, responding to enquiries professionally and helping to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support the wider operational team through mailbox management, handling telephone enquiries, monitoring tasks and notifications, stock management and office cover arrangements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services by escalating issues appropriately, supporting colleagues with system processes and participating in training and service development opportunities.

You'll join our GP+ Community Services team. We are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as Urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

This role may be for you if you:

  • Have strong administration skills and are able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Are an excellent communicator who enjoys building positive relationships with patients, GP practices, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
  • Have a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and are confident using IT systems, ideally with experience of healthcare systems such as SystmOne or NHS referral systems.
  • Take pride in delivering excellent customer service and can work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Are committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, information governance and maintaining high professional standards.

Pay: £25,272.00 per year
