Senior B2B Marketing Manager

David Austin Roses

Following an earlier recruitment process, we've taken some time to refine the role and are pleased to bring this role back to market with a clearer brief....

Senior B2B Marketing Manager

David Austin Roses | Albrighton, Shropshire, West Midlands (Hybrid, 4 days a week onsite)

Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 depending upon experience

Some brands are built. Ours has been cultivated for over 60 years.

At David Austin Roses, we're known around the world for breeding roses that combine the beauty and fragrance of old garden roses with the strength and repeat flowering of modern varieties. As a third-generation family business, we're proud of our heritage, but we're equally focused on what comes next.

We're looking for a Senior B2B Marketing Manager to help grow our trade business, strengthen our partnerships, and ensure the David Austin brand is represented beautifully wherever our roses are sold.

The opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Britain's most respected premium brands in a newly evolving marketing role.

Working closely with our Head of Brand & Content, you'll lead marketing across three key business areas:

  • Wholesale
  • International Partner Network
  • Pro Trade

You'll develop campaigns, sales tools and retail marketing that help our customers sell more roses while ensuring every touchpoint reflects the quality and craftsmanship that define David Austin.

This is a strategic role, but it's also hands-on. One day you could be planning an international trade campaign; the next, refining a product sheet, creating point-of-sale materials or supporting a major customer presentation.

As our trade marketing continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to shape the function and, over time, build a team around you.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Championing the David Austin brand across every trade and partner touchpoint.
  • Creating compelling marketing that helps our sales teams win business.
  • Developing launch packs, product sheets, presentations and sales toolkits.
  • Producing retail-ready point-of-sale and seasonal campaigns for garden centres.
  • Helping develop our visual merchandising so our brand stands out in-store.
  • Leading our presence at exhibitions and trade events.
  • Supporting international partners with localised marketing assets and campaigns.
  • Gathering market insight and competitor intelligence to inform future activity.
  • Managing multiple projects, agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve how we market through trade channels as our business evolves.

About you

You're equally comfortable speaking to trade buyers and consumers, and you understand how wholesale and direct-to-consumer marketing work together to build a successful premium brand.

You'll bring:

  • At least seven years' marketing experience with strong B2B and trade expertise.
  • Experience within a premium or lifestyle brand operating across wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.
  • A track record of creating marketing that supports commercial sales.
  • Experience producing retail marketing, launch campaigns and point-of-sale materials.
  • An eye for visual merchandising and in-store brand presentation.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to spot opportunities and drive improvements.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach with excellent communication skills.
  • The willingness to be hands-on and take pride in every detail, from major campaigns to everyday marketing materials.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience in horticulture, gardening or seasonal retail.
  • Experience supporting international or partner-led markets.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and CRM.
