The Position: Child Looked After Administrator
£12,749 - £13,349 p/a; 22.5 hours a week, 38 weeks – Term Time Only.
We are seeking a highly organised and professional administrator to join our Student Services and Support Team. This role is pivotal in supporting the College's safeguarding arrangements by providing high-quality administrative support and accurate record keeping for vulnerable students, particularly those who are Children Looked After (CLA) and Care Leavers.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Safeguarding Leads and wider Student Services and Support Team, ensuring that safeguarding records, meetings, communications and documentation are managed efficiently and confidentially. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference to their educational experience.
What Skills Are We Looking For
- Strong administrative experience with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within agreed timescales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
- Competent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic diary systems.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Responsibilities For The Role
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Safeguarding Team and Student Services and Support Team in relation to vulnerable students, particularly Children Looked After and Care Leavers.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential safeguarding records and documentation.
- Organise and support meetings, including scheduling appointments, preparing paperwork, taking minutes and distributing actions.
- Liaise with schools, colleges and external agencies to support the transfer and management of safeguarding records.
- Maintain historic safeguarding files and ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
