Operations Support Specialist - Commercial Vehicle

About the role

Supporting Business Operations, responsible for providing administrative, operational and logistical support to ensure the best efficiency and functioning of business in day-to-day operations. Working closely with all other departments to maintain and improve processes and support organisational goals to keep moving forwards.

Reporting to the Operations Manager

Working Location: BYD’s Reading site RG2 0TG (Fully Office-based)

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day to day operational and administrative support to teams and departments.

  • Maintain accurate records databases and documentation.

  • Prepare compile and analyse reports to support business decisions.

  • Coordinate communications between internal departments.

  • Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improvements.

  • Assist with scheduling, meeting, travel arrangements and event coordination.

  • Process and track invoices, purchase orders and other operational documents and needs.

  • Support compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Respond to customer, client and employees enquires.

  • Assist in resolving operational issues and escalating concerns when necessary.

  • Manage filing systems and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Support project implementation and provide administrative assistance to project teams.

Your profile

  • Previous experience in operations support, administration, customer services, or a related role.

  • Strong organisational skills and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suit, particularly Excel, word and outlook.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Ability to be able to work independently as well as in a team.
