Salary: Scale 5 point 12-17 £21,775-£23,620 pro rata actual salary

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Term time plus 3 days

To keep our busy world spinning smoothly, we are seeking an extraordinary Admin Manager to lead our front-of-house and administrative operations.

The Role

This isn't your average, quiet desk job. As our Admin Manager, you will be the heart of a fast-paced, multi-tasking office team. On any given day, you might be balancing complex transport schedules for our students, managing a bustling reception desk, overseeing the school's data and compliance systems, and supporting the Senior Leadership Teamoften all at once!

You will support a small, dedicated administrative team, ensuring that despite the high-energy, fast-changing environment, our operational systems remain robust, secure, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire: Manage and develop our school administrative and reception team, fostering a calm, efficient, and positive working environment.

Multitask: Oversee daily office operations, multi-tasking seamlessly between answering parental queries, handling urgent compliance tasks, and managing relationships.

Complex Coordination: Work closely with local authorities, transport providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate the intricate logistics required for our complex needs students.

Systems & Data: Maintain and optimise our School Management Information System (MIS), ensuring data protection (GDPR) and safeguarding compliance are flawless. Creating and maintaining required date reports for all areas of the school

Financial Support: Assist with basic budgetary tracking, ordering resources, and processing invoices.

About You

We need someone who is proactive, well organised and calm, even in the busiest of situations. You don't necessarily need to have worked in a special school before, but you must possess the resilience, agility, and empathy required to thrive in one.

Exceptional Multi-Tasking Skills: The proven ability to juggle competing priorities without losing your smile or your attention to detail.

Leadership Experience: Track record of managing, motivating, and organizing an administrative team.

High Emotional Intelligence: A warm, empathetic, and patient communicator who remains calm under pressure and values diversity.

Strong Tech Skills: Proficiency in school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Google Workspace, teachers to parent, school spider)

Unwavering Discretion: A deep understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality boundaries within an educational setting.

Experience in school administration, systems and procedures is a distinct advantage.
