The role An opportunity has arisen for a well organised and proactive administrator to join the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences on a full-time permanent basis. This role will jointly support the School of Engineering and the Faculty Admin team for an initial period of 12 months. Following this period, the role will predominantly focus on activity within the School of Engineering. The post holder will work closely with the Senior School Administrator and will support various administrative tasks including but not limited to: Organising & supporting meetings, events, and functions and taking minutes, Dealing with external enquiries and providing support wherever needed such as travel and visiting placements, Providing administrative assistance for undergraduate and postgraduate (taught and research) students, monitoring monthly attendance, and providing support and guidance to new and existing students on University processes and procedures, Keeping up-to-date records relating to expenses and office, managing stationery stock & catering issues including room maintenance for planned meetings, Co-ordinating & taking responsibility for demonstrating recruitment & payment via Unitemps, Providing administrative assistance of tasks related to University’s financial system Agresso, including ordering goods and services. About you We are looking for a responsible, flexible and detail-oriented team player with a passion for delivering excellent administrative support for staff, students and external collaborators. Solid communication and organisation skills to support the effective and efficient operation of the School and Faculty are a must.
