Safety Net UK is the leading specialist rape, exploitation, sexual and domestic abuse recovery charity in Cumbria. The charity provides short-term safety intervention and stabilisation, as well as mid- to long-term specialist therapy and support, for women, men, and children who have experienced abuse. Its trauma-informed, holistic approach involves close partnership working with other professionals and community groups to improve wellbeing and quality of life. Location: Carlisle, with travel across Cumbria and hybrid/flexible working available
Salary: £28,433–£33,143 FTE
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed-term (up to 12 months), starting September 2026

We’re looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Office Manager to join our compassionate, trauma-informed team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role within our organisation, ensuring our offices, systems and day-to-day operations run smoothly so our frontline teams can continue delivering life-changing support across Cumbria.

About the role
As Office Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our offices in Carlisle and Whitehaven, supporting administration, HR processes, IT coordination, data management and compliance. You’ll work closely with colleagues, volunteers, trustees and external partners to help ensure Safety Net continues to provide safe, professional and trauma-informed services.
This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building positive relationships and keeping multiple priorities organised.
