Safran Actuation Systems UK is a world class centre for the design, manufacture and support of actuation and flight control solutions used across commercial, military and rotary platforms. With major sites in Wolverhampton and Banbury, our teams play a critical role in delivering innovative, reliable and safe systems that keep aircraft performing at their best.
Your Role
Join a global PMO team driving project management excellence across a portfolio spanning 11 sites in 7 countries.
You will lead governance, reporting, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives, while shaping the next generation of Project Management talent through graduate and apprentice programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive consistent project management governance, standards, tools, and best practice across the global portfolio.
- Manage and enhance the Project Management graduate and apprentice programmes, including recruitment, mentoring, and career pathways.
- Lead portfolio reporting, performance metrics, dashboards, and data-driven insights to support senior leadership decisions.
- Develop project management capability through training, skills assessments, accreditation, and professional development initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement, PM maturity growth, audits, and process enhancements to improve project delivery performance.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Global PMO and delivery of strategic functional objectives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in Project, Programme, PMO, or Portfolio Management within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, controls, reporting, and delivery methodologies, with experience driving process and framework improvements.
- Experience leading capability development initiatives, including training, coaching, mentoring, or professional development programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, using data and insights to improve project delivery performance.
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline; APM, PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent qualification advantageous
