This is a part-time visiting care role supporting a 28-year-old individual with shopping and meal preparation. The carer will be required to drive to a local farm shop to collect groceries and fresh produce, then prepare meals at the client's home. This is initially a one-day-per-week position, with the potential for additional hours if required. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and calm, with strong attention to detail and routine management.

Key responsibilities

The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Drive to Perry Court Farm Shop to collect chicken from the butchers and fresh vegetables according to a shopping list provided by the client
  • Collect a cool bag from the client's home at 8:45am to ensure timely arrival at the farm shop by 9:00am
  • Transfer groceries into the client's own storage bags as requested
  • Prepare meals at the client's home using the collected ingredients

About the client

Age: 28

Medical conditions: Anaemia, excess copper, and hormonal imbalances

Work environment

The client's home is smoke-free and pet-free. The property is located at Rose Tree Flats, which has free car parking available.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Fluent spoken English

Working pattern

1 hour per week across 1 day, with the potential for additional days if the client's usual carer is unavailable.
