About The Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands real human speech? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic Welsh accent to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a rare, in-person contract opportunity for experienced voice talent based in Wales. You'll be recorded in a professional studio environment, performing natural conversational speech that helps AI systems learn to understand how real people talk — with all the rhythm, nuance, and character that makes Welsh English distinct.

This project does not involve voice cloning.

• Session Format: In-person professional recording studio (locally assigned in Wales)
• Session Length: 4 hours per session - 2–3 sessions total

What You'll Do

• Record natural, conversational Welsh English speech in a professional studio setting
• Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
• Deliver realistic, unscripted-sounding dialogue across a variety of everyday scenarios
• Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery as needed
• Bring authenticity, warmth, and professionalism to every session

Who You Are

• A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with proven recording experience
• A native or near-native Welsh English speaker — your accent is the real deal
• Currently based in Wales and able to attend in-person studio sessions
• Comfortable performing natural, conversational dialogue (not just scripted reads)
• Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction
• Fluent in English at a working level for communication

Nice to Have

• Acting or performance background
• Experience in broadcast, podcast production, or prior studio recording work
• Comfort with improvised or dialogue-based performance styles
