About this opportunity

Sully’s Doggy Daycare is a loved doggy daycare open in Oldham! Our large indoor and outdoor facility provides a safe and fun environment for your furry friends to play and socialise. Bring your dog to our daycare and enjoy peace of mind knowing they are in good hands.

The opportunity to work and learn from Sully’s doggy daycare. The apprentice will be working in all areas of the business.

Duties will included but not limited to;

Walking

Feeding & providing fresh water for the day care and boarding dogs

Keeping bedding, Crates and the dog area clean and tidy

Managing dogs and introducing new dogs into the group

Reception duties, answering the phone & booking in appointments speaking with clients when they come to pick up and drop of their dogs

Keeping the areas tidy and dispose of dog waste

Administering medication if required.

You will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience within the day care. You will learn how to interact and care for dogs of all breeds and ages.

Some level of dog handling even if its their own dog

Basic cleaning skills

Desired Qualifications

Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above is desires but not essential.

Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in the animal care sector to be eligible for this apprenticeship.

Future Prospects

We have 2 apprentices already at this business now taking their level 3 apprentice

A career within the animal industry

Training

Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.

The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 animal care apprenticeship.

The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on-site visit throughout the apprenticeship.

The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Things to Consider

The successful application will need to access to a car due to the business location, public transport is not a viable option for the commute.
