Pool Supervisor

We’re looking for a qualified and safety-conscious Pool Supervisor to join our specialist team at InFocus Charity in Exeter. You’ll help manage our on-site 25-metre pool and hydrotherapy pool, supporting both internal and external users – including young people with vision impairment and complex needs.

About the role
As a Pool Supervisor, you’ll:
- Supervise all swimming activities and ensure safety standards are always met
- Deliver engaging and accessible swimming lessons and activities for our young people
- Support with routine maintenance checks and cleanliness of both pools
- Work closely with other staff and therapists to support students’ physical wellbeing
- Promote an inclusive, welcoming and safe environment for all pool users
About you
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Hold a valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
- Have experience working with children and young people with disabilities and complex needs
- Be confident in managing pool safety, supervising users, and responding to emergencies
- Be proactive, reliable, and great at communicating with a wide range of people

Working pattern
- 27.5 hours per week
- 42 weeks per year (term-time plus some college holiday cover)
- Includes some alternative weekend cover
