Location: Camphill Wakefield Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am – 16:30pm (Term Time Only) Part time hours will be considered.

Salary: SCP 14, actual salary £21,474.90p/a (based on 37.5 hrs per week)

Start Date: As soon as possible

As an Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting students with their educational, social, and personal development. You will work as part of a coordinated team, ensuring that students receive the encouragement, reassurance, and support they need to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students’ learning and development under the direction of the Support Coordinator.
  • To follow and act upon Behaviour Management guidelines and all relevant support & care plans, advice, and programmes
  • Encourage students’ independence while assisting with personal and physical care when necessary.
  • Support students in achieving their learning targets and monitor their progress.
  • Assist in maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one or group support for students in various settings.
  • Participate in planning, recording, and evaluating study programmes.
  • Assist students in using technology and communication aids.
  • Accompany students to activities within the community.
  • Supervise students during break times.
  • Liaise with other staff regarding students’ development and behaviour.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Assist in administrative tasks and maintain necessary equipment and materials.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies, safeguarding and welfare guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safeguarding of students and as such will receive ongoing training and supervision in safeguarding practices.
