About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Assistant Drylining Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the drylining and construction sector while supporting the commercial management of projects from tender stage through to completion.
You will work closely with the Quantity Surveying and project teams, assisting with cost control, measurements, valuations, procurement, and contract administration across a range of drylining projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Measure and value drylining works from drawings and specifications
- Support the preparation of subcontractor enquiries and comparisons
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontract packages
- Help manage project costs, variations, and valuations
- Prepare cost reports and commercial documentation
- Liaise with site teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope changes
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation
- Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with day-to-day commercial duties
Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, ideally drylining, interiors, or fit-out
- Understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
- A willingness to learn and progress within the industry
Desirable
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction
- Experience with drylining systems, partitions, ceilings, plasterboard, or fit-out works
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
