Scrum Master Internship
Arabian Private Holdings
About the role
This internship supports our efforts to organize complex delivery cycles for a major Birmingham based industrial equipment supplier. We require a junior professional who can maintain order across multiple workstreams and ensure that the principles of agility are applied to real world business problems. The position exists to help our team and our partners move from strategy to execution without the usual friction found in large corporate structures.
About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings operates on the understanding that many critical business problems do not require a massive team of associates or a hundred page methodology deck. We work with family groups, holding companies, and government entities that need direct access to principals who can form a rigorous view on strategy and governance. Our focus remains on clarity over complexity, whether we are rationalizing a portfolio or assisting a founder through a scaling transition. As a remote firm, we value the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead or aggressive growth targets. We stay involved until a decision is made and the results are delivered.
What you will do
- Facilitate project rituals to ensure the team remains focused on high priority outcomes for our Birmingham partner.
- Track the progress of specific mandates and report on potential bottlenecks in the operating model.
- Maintain organized project boards and documentation to provide portfolio clarity to the firm.
- Assist principals in translating complex corporate goals into clear, actionable tasks for delivery teams.
- Research and suggest improvements to current workflows to increase the efficiency of remote collaboration.
- Prepare status updates that focus on logical rigor and factual accuracy rather than generic progress markers.
- Support the governance process by keeping records of decisions made during planning sessions.
- Monitor team capacity to ensure that resources are aligned with the most critical client needs.
What we are looking for
- Clear thinking and the ability to explain complex ideas in plain English.
- Strong written precision and an interest in maintaining high standards of documentation.
- A curious mindset regarding business processes and how different teams work together.
- Basic familiarity with agile methods or a strong desire to learn project management frameworks.
- The ability to stay organized while working independently in a remote setting.
- A logical approach to solving problems and identifying hidden risks in a project plan.
- Professional maturity and the ability to act as a reliable point of contact for team members.
How we work
We choose to operate as a remote firm because it allows us to recruit the best talent regardless of location. This model requires a high degree of individual accountability and clear communication. We do not use layers of management, instead, every team member has direct access to the principals leading the mandate. This structure encourages honest, independent advice and ensures that everyone is close to the actual problem being solved. We prioritize mentoring through direct feedback and involvement in active client projects, providing a transparent view into how a principal led advisory firm functions. Governance is not a checkbox for us, it is a tool we use to ensure our work remains useful and impactful for the organizations we serve.
What the role offers
- A full time internship that is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in where you work.
- Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in the advisory sector.
- Direct mentorship from experienced partners who are accountable for significant corporate outcomes.
- Practical experience supporting a major Birmingham based partner in the industrial sector.
- Exposure to the governance and strategy challenges faced by large holding companies.
- A workplace culture that values clarity of thought and professional growth over corporate buzzwords.
