Job Summary
We are looking to recruit TWO full time staff (37.5 hours per week) enthusiastic, conscientious, flexible and reliable Pharmacy Stores and Warehouse Operatives to join our Pharmacy Stores and Distribution teams based within the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Team at Moor House Leeds 10 and the LGI MRDU.

Applicants will need to Train to be a Pharmacy Stores and Warehouse Operative over a 6-month period undertaking the Support Staff Course for Pharmacy Stock Management supported by in-house competency assessment.
Why you should join our Team
These posts will be based within the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Team at Moorhouse and LGI MRDU, where we have vacancies for 1 Full-time staff member at each site, time may also be spent with the Stores and Distribution Teams at SJUH.
The primary role of the Pharmacy Stores & Distribution Team is to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of pharmacy stock on wards and departments at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. This includes assembly and delivery of stock medicines to wards, departments, and our own Pharmacy areas across the Trust.
You will be involved in a variety of duties associated with this, including receipt, storage, dispatch, ward top-up, stock control and delivery of medicines.
Please be aware that for all posts there is a significant amount of walking, and moving and handling, including bulk consignments.
Successful candidates will be part of a busy service within friendly and welcoming teams!
What you will bring to the role
Perform a variety of pharmacy support duties, within the Pharmacy Warehouse / Stores & Distribution team. These will include stock management, receipt of stock, stock control procedures and stocktaking, stock counting & ordering, picking and packing of orders for distribution and the disposal of pharmaceutical waste. There is a requirement for general housekeeping duties.
The post holder will not have any line management responsibilities. They may on occasions be required to assist with induction and training. The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rostered basis.
