GI Physiologist

Our JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit at the Chelsea Site is a rewarding place to work. We are renowned for our friendly, innovative and supportive environment.
We provide a range of investigative and therapeutic endoscopy procedures in 4 modern, well equipped endoscopy rooms. We run a 7-day service including out of hours support to the Gastroenterology team for UGI bleeds.
The postholder will have obtained a BSc in an appropriate science-related degree and have acquired training through the STP (Scientist Training Path). They will have gained training in different aspects of GI Physiology (hydrogen methane breath tests, anorectal physiology, capsule endoscopy, oesophageal manometry and impedance pH monitoring). They will work under the direction of the consultant gastroenterologists, working collaboratively with other members of the clinical team within the Trust’s policies and clinical guidelines.

The Physiologist Will
Provide high quality clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations.

Provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and further development of our Gastrointestinal Physiology service and to support the team of Gastroenterology doctors and wider multidisciplinary team therein.
