Band 4 Assistant Psychologist - Bipolar Service Team

We have an exciting, full-time job opportunity for a psychology graduate who would enjoy working in a specialist secondary care service for people with bipolar disorder and related conditions. The successful candidate would join our dedicated team of psychological practitioners helping to deliver interventions to people with mood disorders which includes the Mood on Track programme, a group-based CBT programme, also individual CBT and family intervention. Interventions are offered online and face to face. The service provides intervention across the age range and is currently further developing the offer for young people.
The successful applicant will help deliver Mood on Track group CBT plus an individual staying well intervention. The assistant psychologist will collect outcome data weekly and ensure that they are inputting the data accurately and informing qualified colleagues of any risks it highlights. They will have the opportunity to shadow other professionals completing assessments and individual CBT interventions, as well as the opportunity to engage in Behavioural Family Therapy. We are a multidisciplinary team and work closely with other teams within the trust, so the successful applicant will be required to liaise with other services.
Research and service evaluation is a core part of our service model, and this will be a key part of your role.
We work across the city, so there is an expectation to be able to travel to sites in different localities. You should have experience of working with service users with mental health needs; additionally, to be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation.
