We are seeking a Curriculum Catering Support Supervisor to join our Curriculum Catering Team and play a vital role in the smooth running of our Professional cookery and Patisserie Curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for an Individual with experience in stock control, food ordering systems and catering logistics to support our teaching kitchens activities, making sure that resources are available and the kitchens and equipment meet regulation and servicing is in place, along with. About the Role Reporting to the Curriculum Manager of Catering and Travel, being based at the Southend campus you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the stores and back-of-house catering operations. You will ensure efficient stock control, ordering, delivery management and Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and efficient operation of the stores area and teaching kitchens. Manage the purchasing, receipt, storage and security of food and non-food supplies. Receive and process deliveries, liaising with curriculum and commercial teams regarding collection and storage requirements. Deliver products to designated training kitchens and accurately record deliveries using catering purchasing software. Monitor stock levels and implement effective stock rotation procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety and legislative requirements, maintaining all required documentation. Assist within curriculum kitchens as required. Support the development of a positive, collaborative and professional team culture. Attend college meetings, staff training events, open evenings and other college activities throughout the year. Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support the Curriculum Catering Team and wider College objectives. About You We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Essential Requirements Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to work towards). Level 3 Supervisory qualification (or willingness to work towards). Knowledge of food ordering, stock control and stock rotation systems. Understanding of purchasing, goods receipt and storage procedures. Knowledge of kitchen appliance maintenance requirements and relevant legislation. Experience of invoice control processes. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Excellent supervisory and team-working skills. Flexible approach to working hours and business needs.
