About the Role

Join WPS as a Disrepair Manager and take the lead on delivering end-to-end disrepair programmes for a local authority. You'll play a key role in improving residents' homes while ensuring works are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end disrepair programmes within SLAs

Act as the main liaison between council, contractors & stakeholders

Review claims and accurately scope works from survey reports

Manage contractors and ensure works are delivered on time, safely, and to quality standards

Drive KPIs including turnaround times, first-time fix & customer satisfaction

Oversee pre/post inspections to ensure compliance and sign-off standards

  • ️ Support legal processes including pre-action protocols & joint inspections

️ Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation, CDM, and council policies

Manage budgets and maintain cost-efficient delivery

️ Maintain clear documentation and provide regular client reports

Engage residents, manage expectations & resolve complaints

Identify improvements to reduce repeat defects and future claims

  • ️ Essential Requirements

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – mandatory

Full UK Driving Licence – required

Strong knowledge of housing compliance & regulations

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
