Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours)
Active8 is an award-winning provider of IT, print, and telecoms solutions, delivering exceptional service to businesses across the UK. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Printer Field Service Engineer to join our Print Field Service team.
The Role
This is a field-based role responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of printers and multifunction devices (MFDs) at customer sites across London and the South East.
As the senior member of a small engineering team, you'll not only provide expert technical support but also mentor and guide junior engineers, helping to maintain the high standards of service our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and commission printers, MFDs and associated software.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise device performance and reliability.
- Respond to service calls, ensuring high first-time fix rates.
- Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Support and mentor junior engineers.
- Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate.
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety procedures.
About You
You'll have proven experience as a Printer Field Service Engineer and be confident working independently while supporting colleagues.
Ideally, you'll have experience with leading print manufacturers such as Canon, Sharp, Epson, Lexmark, HP and Ricoh, along with a solid understanding of networking, printer connectivity and troubleshooting.
You'll also have

- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- The ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Relevant technical certifications (desirable).
