The University of Bristol Men’s Hockey Club (UBMHC) is an inclusive and peformance-driven hockey club that offers opportunities for players at various skill levels. The club supports five competitive men’s teams, ranging from regional leagues to semi-professional levels. The UBMHC is dedicated to improving standards, quality of hockey and performance, always aiming for promotion! It is an excellent community for players and coaches who are committed to the sport and personal development.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for the position of Men’s Hockey 3rd and 4th Team Coach at the University of Bristol Men's Hockey Club. The coach will plan and execute 2 weekly training sessions to develop technical and tactical skills. Responsibilities include match preparation, providing performance feedback, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive team environment. You will benefit from a squad who want to perform and push promotion who will be receptive and willing to learn and improve. Veo match analysis will be available to use as well. Additionally, the coach will collaborate with the Head Coach, team captains and club committee to achieve excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in playing or coaching hockey
- Experience in team management and the ability to create inclusive, cohesive, and competitive teams
- Effective communication and leadership skills to build strong relationships with players and colleagues
- Understanding of player development, health, and fitness principles
- Ability to work on-site in Bristol with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for matches and practices
