Global Head of Facilities Management
Oxford University Press
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Global Facilities Manager to lead the delivery, transformation, and governance of facilities management across our international property portfolio. Based at our Oxford head office, this role holds direct responsibility for facilities operations within our 300,000 sq. ft UK headquarters, leading a team of site operations professionals to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing workplace. The role also oversees facilities management delivery across smaller UK locations, including sites in Oxford and Kettering.
A key priority will be the transformation of our UK facilities operation through the successful implementation and optimisation of a full CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) solution. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in digital FM systems, using data and technology to drive operational efficiency, improve reporting, and enhance service delivery.
Beyond the UK, the role has global oversight of facilities management activities across our international estate. This includes setting consistent global standards for service delivery, documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement, while working with locally managed teams and providers. The role will establish robust performance frameworks, ensuring alignment to these standards and driving adoption of digital and data-led approaches across all regions. Close collaboration will also be required between this role and our Health & Safety, PMO and Transactional leadership to ensure a seamless approach to our estate.
The Global Facilities Manager will also play a critical role in advancing sustainability across the estate, supporting the delivery of environmental targets and embedding best practice in energy, carbon, and asset management. A strong focus on health, safety, and incident management is essential, alongside responsibility for ensuring all facilities-related documentation, records, and regulatory compliance requirements are maintained to the highest standards. This is a high-impact role requiring a candidate with demonstrable experience in managing diverse property portfolios, leading operational teams, and driving transformation within complex, multi-site environments.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
