Accounts / Office Administration Assistant

The Ashtons Group are expanding our team and we are looking for a proactive, detail driven Accounts / Office Administration Assistant to support our busy Engineering business specialising in the distribution and manufacture of Seals, Gaskets and Fasteners.

Skills Required

  • Confidentiality. Handling sensitive financial information with professionalism
  • Ability to establish good relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail. Accuracy in all financial and administrative tasks.
  • Good IT skills. Comfortable using accounting systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable skills

  • Accounts or credit control experience

Responsibilities

  • Processing, verifying and posting receipts.
  • Resolving account discrepancies.
  • Maintaining contact with customers to ensure invoices are cleared for payment.
  • Processing credit notes.
  • Generating invoices and statements.
  • Performing account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining the ledger
  • Producing regular reports.
  • Performing credit checks on customers.
  • Daily and weekly sales reporting
  • Maintaining accounting records
  • Basic accounts reconciliations

Hours of work are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch

We do no operate any hybrid working.
