The Ashtons Group are expanding our team and we are looking for a proactive, detail driven Accounts / Office Administration Assistant to support our busy Engineering business specialising in the distribution and manufacture of Seals, Gaskets and Fasteners.
If you thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy keeping operations running smoothly, this role is for you.
Skills Required
- Confidentiality. Handling sensitive financial information with professionalism
- Ability to establish good relationships internally and externally at all levels.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail. Accuracy in all financial and administrative tasks.
- Good IT skills. Comfortable using accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable skills
- Accounts or credit control experience
Responsibilities
- Processing, verifying and posting receipts.
- Resolving account discrepancies.
- Maintaining contact with customers to ensure invoices are cleared for payment.
- Processing credit notes.
- Generating invoices and statements.
- Performing account reconciliations.
- Maintaining the ledger
- Producing regular reports.
- Performing credit checks on customers.
- Daily and weekly sales reporting
- Maintaining accounting records
- Basic accounts reconciliations
Hours of work are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch
