Reporting To: Senior Legal Biller

This Accounts Assistant role involves providing a high-quality service to the firm by working with the Senior Biller and billing team, to ensure accurate invoices are issued to customers/clients.

Working with Fee Earners and other members of the business to provide a first-class billing service for the firm.

Drafting bills and approving bills

Producing credit notes

Ensuring any agreed client fee arrangements or billing deadlines are complied with

Ensuring compliance with SAR and VAT rules

Time and disbursement write offs

Dealing with requests and queries sent to the Billing team in a timely and efficient manner

Providing WIP reports and liaising with Fee Earners to maximise their billing revenue

Collaboration with the wider Finance team

Ensure all financial data is accurately captured in the financial systems

Generate ad hoc reports as required

Qualifications and Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to pick up new systems quickly

Experience working in a Finance/Accounts department

Strong Excel skills

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team providing support to others

Ability to operate in a professional, calm and friendly manner

Self-motivated

High levels of attention to detail
