An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Psychology role in CWP Adult Eating Disorders Service; 0.6 (22.5 hours per week over 3 days) WTE Clinical Psychologist in Stockport, based at Hall Lodge Eating Disorders Service.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality, specialist psychology service to clients living with an Eating Disorder. They will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy. Alongside this they will provide consultation and advice on clients' psychological care to psychologist/therapist colleagues, non-psychologist colleagues and carers. They will supervise trainees and qualified practitioners as agreed, working autonomously within the framework of the service’s policies and procedures. There will also be opportunities to take part in wider developments across the service and contributed to service delivery. The successful candidate will be successful in working with this group for people, bringing a compassionate approach.

To provide specialist psychological assessments of service users referred to the Adult Eating Disorder Service (EDS)

To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management. To train in and deliver specialist psychological therapies for client group.

To work on a daily basis in face to face individual, family and/or in group therapy settings with service users presenting with complex and distressing psychological problems, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, ARFID, Binge Eating Disorder, and Atypical Eating Disorders.

To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals (both psychologists/therapists and non-psychologists) contributing directly to service users' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plans.

To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual service users and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.

To provide supervision to other MDT staff's psychological work, as appropriate.

To provide professional and clinical supervision of assistant psychologists.

To contribute to wider clinical governance and development across the service.
