About the Role

Based in our Employability Services team at Chelmsford, you will play a key role in helping students and graduates achieve their career ambitions. You will provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students and, graduates, delivering high-quality employability support and careers information. You'll help students develop their CVs and applications, prepare for interviews, improve their job search strategies and access opportunities through ARU Temps. Working closely with Careers Consultants and colleagues across the University, you will also support the planning and delivery of careers fairs, employer events, workshops and employability initiatives that enhance student outcomes and engagement. Additionally, you will create engaging promotional content across social media and digital channels, helping to raise awareness of the University's employability services and opportunities. The role will be on campus at least 80% of the week.

With a degree, a relevant professional qualification at degree level, or substantial relevant experience supported by evidence of continuing professional development, you will be a proactive and customer-focused individual with experience of delivering excellent service in a student support, recruitment, employability or similar environment. You will have strong communication and organisational skills, experience of coordinating activities or events, and confidence in creating engaging digital and social media content. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, you will be able to manage competing priorities, resolve queries effectively and maintain accurate records using digital systems and databases. An understanding of graduate progression and the challenges faced by students and graduates will be beneficial.
