About the Role
Based in our Employability Services team at Chelmsford you will play a vital role in supporting the effective operation and continuous improvement of employability provision at ARU. As Careers Data Officer, you will help ensure that service data is accurate, accessible and meaningful, providing valuable insights that support strategic decision-making and service development. Working closely with the Careers Data & Systems Manager and colleagues across Employability Services, you will maintain data quality, support reporting activities, analyse engagement and impact data, and contribute to the development of dashboards and management information. You will also provide systems support, assist with administrative coordination, and act as a key user of Employability systems, helping colleagues resolve technical issues and make effective use of digital platforms.
With a degree, a relevant professional qualification at degree level, or substantial relevant experience supported by evidence of continuing professional development, you will be an organised and analytical individual with experience of working with data, digital systems and administrative processes. You will have strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and be confident in analysing information, identifying key themes and presenting findings in a clear and accessible way. Experience of producing reports, working with data visualisation tools, and supporting colleagues with systems or technical queries will be advantageous. You will also be an excellent communicator, capable of building positive relationships with stakeholders, managing competing priorities and contributing to service improvements. Most importantly, you will be committed to using data and insight to enhance the student experience and support successful employability outcomes.
