Are you an experienced Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or Supervisor within electrical wholesale looking for the opportunity to lead your own branch and make a real impact?

At Devondale Electrical, part of Grant & Stone Electrical Wholesalers and the wider IBMG Group, we're looking for a commercially minded and people-focused leader to take ownership of our established Paignton branch.

The Role

As Branch Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance of the Paignton branch, ensuring outstanding customer service, strong commercial performance and a highly engaged team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing branch team
• Drive sales growth, profitability and market share within the local area
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identify and win new business opportunities across the local market
• Maintain regular contact with key customers and support account growth
• Manage branch performance, margin, stock and operating costs
• Deliver exceptional service to trade and retail customers
• Ensure high operational standards and effective stock management
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Develop colleagues to reach their full potential and build future talent within the branch
• Create a positive, customer-focused and results-driven branch culture

What We're Looking For

• Previous management or supervisory experience within electrical wholesale, builders' merchants or a related trade environment
• A proven track record of growing sales and developing customer relationships
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Commercial awareness with a clear understanding of profit drivers, margins and branch performance
• A proactive, hands-on management style
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ambition to grow both the branch and your own career
• The ability to inspire, motivate and develop a successful team

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

07:30am – 5:00pm
