The Healthcare & Education Division has enjoyed significant growth in recent years. OCS is recognised throughout the world as a market leader within the Healthcare and Education sector.

The role is responsible for Strategic leadership and senior client engagement of an integrated Soft FM service to the ELFT multi-site contract, located in the Beford, Luton & Northeast London Region. Overseeing the management and contract delivery to ensure operational excellence is delivered in line with agreed budgets and service specifications; monitoring and reporting on the quality of service and financial performance of the contract. An ability to review data and an analytical approach of multiple data streams is a must.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate exceptional drive, leadership, with a proactive service development approach with an ability to translate strategy, values, and vision from aspirations into a lived reality.
  • The role requires an ability to write proficient board level papers to include service reporting, Social Value delivery, KPI management is a must.
  • This role is a strategically important role and to act as the conduit between OCS contract operations team and ELFT clinical and senior management. To be a business ambassador that show cases service excellence.
  • As a sub-contractor OCS is responsible for delivering the following Soft Services, Cleaning, Catering, Window Cleaning and Grounds & Gardens Management, Material Management and Pest control.
  • This high-profile contract has a revenue of circa £11m across 63 sites. OCS is now looking for an experienced Account Director, preferably with a background in the Healthcare (Mental Health) environment but not essential.
  • To see this contract into a new and exciting phase following a further 5-year contract extension. Driving forward financial performance whilst delivering OCS values to the forefront.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of developing and coaching high-performance teams
  • Proven experience with at least 3 years of senior management in the FM sector, overseeing FM services or project works, including managing operational site-based or mobile teams
  • Demonstrable evidence of establishing stakeholder relationships and achieving sustained operational success (ideally within a clinical environment)
  • Strong numeracy skills with an analytical mindset to translate data into business cases and operational reports
  • Experience of writing complex strategic or board-level papers and business cases to enhance service delivery
  • Operational knowledge of budgeting and P&L accounts
  • Proven experience managing outsourced commercial contractors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, presentation, persuasion, and motivation)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft packages (Excel), Power BI, AI tools, and FM systems software
  • IOSH qualification

Desirable

  • Knowledge of soft services, BICS, or NSoHC25 cleaning standards
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Social value knowledge with evidence of practical application (TOMS software ideal)
  • IWFM membership
  • Educated to degree level
  • Lateral thinker with an innovative approach
