Where you’ll be working?

BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing?

You will manage the full bid lifecycle, guiding each opportunity from PQQ and EOI stages through tender submission and post‑submission clarifications.

You will develop bid programmes, deliverables, and governance, and you will lead kick‑off meetings, reviews, progress updates, and cost discussions.

You will prepare bid plans, launch materials, action lists, outcome trackers, and handover packs, while keeping the bid library current.

You will produce high‑quality written responses that are client‑focused, compliant, and differentiating.

You will coordinate internal teams and external partners, ensuring technical, commercial, and strategic alignment.

You will support win‑theme development, price‑to‑win thinking, and continuous improvement.

You will lead framework submissions, contribute to major project bids, and manage multiple tenders with care.

You will maintain strong governance, legal compliance, and clear audit trails throughout.

You will bring

  • Bid management experience — proven background in bid coordination within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
  • Successful track record — winning major bids, managing complex multi‑disciplinary submissions.
  • Procurement knowledge — strong understanding of UK public/private procurement and framework requirements.
  • Technical interpretation — confident reviewing specifications, drawings, and technical details.
  • Organisation & planning — highly organised, deadline‑focused, with strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Writing & communication — exceptional writing, able to turn technical content into compelling responses.
  • Stakeholder engagement — confident working with internal and external partners.
  • Commercial awareness — understanding pricing strategies and aligning quality with cost.
  • Tools & qualifications — proficient in Procore and Salesforce; degree, APMP, tendering experience, and ESG knowledge desirable.
