We have an exciting opportunity for a Register Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Rye Hill, a category B Prison located in Rugby.

HMP Rye Hill has a capacity of 1222 males after 18+.

As a Registered Nurse Associate you will be working as part of the Primary Care Team, you will be based within the Healthcare department and some prison wing work will be required.

Hours

• Monday - Sunday service
• 37.5 hours per week
• 7am - 8pm
• 1 weekend in 4
• No nights

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £29,264 - £33,510 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
• You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
• Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing
• Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required

• Qualified Nurse Associate
• Currently registered with the NMC
• Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
• Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
