Looking for a hands-on role where you can lead a team and take pride in keeping our fleet safe, clean, and road-ready?
We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling) to join our team at Basingstoke depot. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated crew, helping to refuel, clean, and position our buses, while taking on a leadership role to make sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing
Leading a small team of Fuellers/Shunters/Cleaners
Supporting the team by stepping in to clean, refuel, and reposition vehicles when needed
Organising daily task allocation and ensuring job sheets and reports are completed accurately
Planning weekly shift cover, monitoring performance, and supporting improvements
Ensuring all work meets health and safety requirements and depot standards
Liaising with management to ensure a smooth and efficient depot operation
What we’re looking for
A strong team player who’s also confident taking the lead
A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team on the ground
A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
A valid UK driving licence (we’ll provide training to move vehicles within the depot)
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends
