About the Role

As a Skills Development Coach, you’ll deliver tailored coaching and workshops, guiding participants as they develop confidence, creativity, and practical abilities within the creative and digital industries.

You’ll play a key role in shaping a meaningful programme that supports personal growth and employability, making this a fantastic chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual learner needs and project goals
  • Support participants in developing practical skills, confidence, and creative portfolios
  • Track and monitor learner progress, including managing documentation for work experience (WEX) and placement records
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and pastoral support to help participants overcome barriers to engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, employers, and partner organisations to coordinate meaningful placement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and contribute to regular reporting and evaluation activities

Qualifications

  • Qualified to level 3 or above in a relevant technical area
  • English and maths to a minimum of level 2
  • Full clean driving license

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working with young people and adults in group situations
  • Experience on working as part of a team
  • Experience of working within a relevant technical area
  • Effective written communication with staff and students
  • Good oral communication skills with students and staff
  • Ability to work with a wide ability range of learners
  • Effective use of Digital and ICT resources
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to develop effective working partnerships with colleagues and students
