About The Role

UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE

+ MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR EVERY PATIENT

We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Imaging Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a Bank basis.

This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option—but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while gaining experience in a busy healthcare environment. You’ll support radiographers, sonographers and the wider clinical team to ensure patients receive safe, high‑quality care throughout their imaging journey.

Working in a fast‑paced department, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.

What you'll be doing

As our Imaging Assistant, you will be:

  • Supporting radiographers and sonographers in delivering safe and effective patient care.
  • Assisting with patient preparation and providing reassurance before and during imaging procedures.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and efficient patient pathways.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control within clinical areas and equipment.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues to support a positive patient experience.
  • Supporting both direct and indirect patient care under supervision, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Contributing to team discussions and supporting the induction of new colleagues where appropriate.

What we’ll look for in you

With your previous experience in a healthcare or customer‑facing environment, you will also have:

  • A caring, patient‑focused approach with a commitment to dignity and respect.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude, with willingness to learn new skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, patient care standards and professionalism.

What you can expect in return;

  • An hourly rate of £12.72
  • Working within a friendly and supportive team
