Due to ongoing expansion, a great opportunity has arisen to join Sterling PSL, Deeside facility, as a Warehouse Operative. The warehouse operative will be responsible for ensuring all goods and materials are processed, organised and stored in accordance with relevant specifications and safety requirements. They will ensure that laboratories and manufacturing areas are supplied with all requested materials, consumables and PPE. They will coordinate the handling and processing of site waste for safe storage and collection. Duties also include packaging, scanning and preparing orders, reagents and samples for both internal and external shipment.
The site operates a 35 hour working week, Monday to Friday with core working hours of 09:00 to 17:00 although a willingness for flexible working is required
Responsibilities
- Receipt and processing of all incoming site materials
- Maintenance of site stock levels including stock counts
- Suppling internal stakeholders with all requested materials
- Perform routine safety inspections of all warehousing and storage areas
- Assist with internal and external client / regulatory audits
- Accurately record and check data - both written and electronic
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Skills
Key Skills and Competencies
- Fork Lift Truck driving license (desirable)
- Experience of working within a regulated environment (cGMP/ISO9001)
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word)
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit as the role requires lifting of deliveries up to 20kg, standing for long hours and walking long distances.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided
