Quality Engineer / Inspector — Quickparts UK (High Wycombe)

We're hiring a Quality Engineer / Inspector for our High Wycombe site, and we'd love to hear from you — even if you're not 100% sure you tick every box.

What you'll be doing

You'll inspect prototype and low-volume parts coming off our shop floor and out of our supply chain. The work spans 3D printing (plastic and metal), CNC machining, vacuum casting, injection moulding, sheet metal, and die-casting — so no two days look the same.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Measuring parts with hand tools, CMM, and 3D scanning
• Writing FAI reports, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformity
• Investigating quality issues using 8D / 5 Whys (we'll train you if you haven't done these before)
• Liaising with customers and suppliers on quality questions
• Supporting our ISO 9001 and AS9100 audits
• Occasionally visiting suppliers for source inspections

Who we're looking for

Essential:

• Some experience inspecting parts in a manufacturing or workshop environment (full-time, apprenticeship, or placement all count)
• Confident with calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Able to read an engineering drawing
• Methodical, careful, and genuinely cares about getting things right
• Right to work in the UK

Nice to have (but we'll train you):

• CMM or 3D scanning experience
• ISO 9001 / AS9100 familiarity
• GD&T
• FAI report writing
• Background in additive manufacturing, CNC, injection moulding, or sheet metal

We don't care about formal qualifications. If you're time-served and good at the job, that counts more than any certificate.

The practical bits

• Based at our High Wycombe site (HP12 4HH) — easy reach from the M40 and the station
• Full-time, day shifts, on-site
• Reports to the Quality Manager
