A growing specialist education provision in Doncaster is seeking a passionate Vocational Skills Teacher with experience in Construction to join their team from September 2026.

Supporting young people with SEN and SEMH needs, the school is committed to helping students rebuild confidence, develop practical skills and discover meaningful pathways into employment, apprenticeships and further education.

Vocational learning sits at the heart of the curriculum, with specialist pathways including Construction, Food Technology, Media and Uniformed Services.

The Role

You will:

  • Deliver engaging vocational construction lessons that inspire and motivate learners
  • Develop personalised learning pathways tailored to individual student needs
  • Create practical, hands-on learning experiences linked to real-world employment skills
  • Support students with SEND and SEMH needs to achieve positive outcomes
  • Foster positive behaviour and strong relationships with students, families and colleagues
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievement at every stage of a student's journey

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Experience teaching Construction or vocational skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs
  • At least two years' experience working within a SEND, alternative provision or specialist setting
  • Strong relationship-building and classroom management skills
