St Margaret’s CEVA Primary School are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive primary school team. This role will involve providing one to one support for a pupil, as well as contributing to the wider classroom environment. We are looking for someone who is a genuine team player, committed to helping every child thrive.
Your responsibilities will include
- supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, effective lessons aligned with the primary curriculum
- working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, build confidence, and promote progress
- providing tailored support for pupils with SEND, adapting activities to ensure full participation
- assisting in implementing teacher-led interventions and strategies to help pupils meet their learning goals
- promoting positive behaviour, independence, resilience, and self-esteem
- helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- monitoring pupil engagement and progress, sharing observations with the class teacher
- supporting pupils during break times, educational visits, and extracurricular activities
- contributing to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

- passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child can succeed.
Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND or requiring 1:1 support, is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
