About the Role
We are recruiting for the role of a Team Manager within our Support and Intervention Team covering Rugby on a full time/permanent basis.
The Family Help Team are based at Oakfield Park, Rugby.
We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager who is wanting to progress. You will have direct strategic and operational responsibility. This is a key leadership role responsible for the operational management and development of the team. Team Managers support a team of Social Workers and Family Practitioners to ensure that they can be the best they can be, providing high quality supervision and support to ensure effective support is provided to achieve positive outcomes for the children and families.

This role is pivotal in leading a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers who provide critical support to Rugby Family Help.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, tracking key performance indicators and priorities for the service.
- Provide regular supervision and management oversight to Social Workers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Attend and/or Chair key multiagency meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and safeguarding standards.
- Leading HR, performance management and absence management processes in addition to focusing on continuous staff development and training in promoting a learning culture
Key Requirements
Working hours – 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9am till 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays.
Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
- Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)
- In depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases
- Have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
- Can record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
- Have good communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with children and families
