WMG is seeking a proactive and commercially minded newly qualified or finalist Management Accountant to support its high-profile collaboration with the HVM Catapult. Working across a portfolio of 60+ cutting edge research and industrial projects, you will support project managers to provide financial insight and strategic guidance using large data sets and the latest Microsoft, SAP and AI tools. With programme activity totalling around £20m per year, you will own the budgeting, forecasting and cost control cycles, and provide financial governance in a fast moving, innovation driven environment. This is a great opportunity to influence how major national manufacturing programmes are funded and delivered, while gaining exposure to a diverse range of technologies, stakeholders, and commercial models. About You
You should possess financial management experience preferably including some experience in the public/ not for profit sector. Excellent command of financial software applications and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets and power queries is also essential, as is the ability to explain accounts to non-financial staff, as you work closely with them in the development of research grant applications.
