Location: Cavanacaw Mine, Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

Flintridge Resources is looking for an early career geologist to join a small technical team at the mine-site. The candidate must have a least one year of experience in the mining/exploration industry. This full-time permanent position will initially involve helping the team to monitor the exploration drill programme, log drill core (including geotechnical) and prepare samples for dispatch to the laboratory, with adherence to strict QA/QC standards. The geologist will also be involved in regional fieldwork. Other tasks are likely to include underground mapping and data collection as the project progresses.

Requirements

A recognised BSc or MSc in Geology or related Earth Science subject

Right to work in the UK

Full UK driver’s license (preferably clean)

Good computer literacy

Willingness to join mine rescue team

Experience with GIS and Leapfrog software would be beneficial but not essential

The geologist must abide by the sites health, safety and environment rules; and follow all risk assessment, policy and procedures.
